Lucky Block is a free mod for the Minecraft game that I have been looking forward to trying out. The mod has some nice features, however one thing that really bugged me about it was the fact that the directional markers seemed to be placed randomly in various areas of the map. But after doing some research I’ve discovered where they are placed and how to get around them. Lucky Block has been updated since I last tried it and now you can find the location of all the directional markers on the map. I will go through some of the cool new things that Lucky Block has to offer.
As I mentioned above there are different directions for you to move in-game. In the past you had to go east and west until you found an item, then travel south until you found another item and so on. When you first started playing Minecraft, this was the only way to go. You could go south until you hit the grassy area and then go north until you hit the river. It would take quite some time. Now however, you just have to keep moving in whatever direction you find that the compass points to.
One thing that I liked about Lucky Block was that you could travel under the water. It was kind of strange but it did make the game a lot more fun to play. Now when I die in the game, I just keep sinking. I guess I have become accustomed to that and not much of a fan of it.
I also like the fact that I can now go through the sewer system in the game. I used to just jump 1.16.5 straight to the surface. Lucky Block makes me jump through a tunnel that leads to a huge area of wooden planks. I love this part of the game and I like being able to use it.
The bow you have to use in the game is also very cool. I have to say though, that I really don’t like the default bow. It’s a little weird and it really doesn’t look like anything that a bow user should be using. You can pick a much better looking bow that looks like a real bow from the Lucky Block website.
The controls for the game are very simple. They aren’t too difficult to learn at first and then once you get the feel for the game you can really start tweaking them. I have to say though, that the arrow keys are just a little too stiff for my taste. They might as well be rubber bands.
