Applied Energistics 2 1.16.5 is the follow up to the hit game, Applied Energistics. Like its predecessor it is also a minecraft mod. The new version boasts of improved graphics as well as more content than its predecessor. This mod actually took a lot of work from its team of designers.
A very important aspect of Applied Energistics 2 is the use of power. Players will need to find and craft various sources of power in order to start the game. A very important aspect of the power system is that it can be powered by either wind or solar energy sources. As you go further into the minecraft world, you will discover that you can also mine rare gem types. This gem is used for crafting various tools, weapons, armor and other things in the game. One thing worth mentioning about this aspect is that if you run out of power, you will have to wait until you come back online to input power again.
Another great thing about Applied Energistics 2 is the fact that it adds a whole lot of mining mechanics. For example, you can build the occasional mine that is capable of extracting precious stone and metal ores. You can also mine underground and find coal, titanium 1.16.5, iron ore and many other ores. There are also many other ores you can mine underground such as uranium and plutonium. These resources can in turn be turned into fuel, which in turn fuels machines and other items.
Power in this game is also produced by something called a ‘effician’. These are devices that generate the power that is needed by the plants and machinery in the game. The output that they produce is often used to light things in the mine. Water is also generated using the same mechanisms. The efficiency of these devices tends to drop off over time and so the power they produce is not as consistent as you would like.
Some of these ores and minerals can also be turned into metal by furnaces. Furnaces in this game are used to process ores into metal. This can be used for things such as armor and weaponry. It is important that you learn how to use furnaces properly because you will need them quite a bit to be successful in this game.
Overall, Applied Energistics 2 is an excellent resource pack. There are only a few things that could make it better such as the fact that there is not a lot of iron ore or coal in this game. Overall though, the game is very fun and enjoyable. I recommend this to anyone looking for a solid, realistic mining game that isn’t too hard.
