You’ve just gotten that fancy new game you’ve been wanting, but when you try and load up your game and it gives you a black loading screen, what do you do? What are your options? There isn’t much that can be done really. Well, there is one thing that you can do.
There is a very easy way to get around this issue, and if you’re tired of always having to stop and right click in order to go into the world map, then this is definitely for you. The mod, Darkoader, will take care of everything. It’s a mod for Minecraft that will disable the game’s internal Java dispatch of items so that you don’t have to interrupt your game-time while processing lots of information. It also works around the fact that the game renders too many items at once, leading to a slowdown. This mod disables all these, making sure that your game is smooth all the time.
This mod is available as an MC download. Simply search for it on the downloads tab. Choose the “stable” release and it should be ready to go. For some reason, some versions don’t always work well with the latest version of MC. I’ve only encountered this issue on my current computer, so it could be something else, or simply a glitch in the system. If you get a problem, though, I recommend that you download the latest release.
Darkoader is compatible with the latest official version of MC, 1.4.5. However, there are still some limitations and bugs. For example, it doesn’t make any changes to the game’s music, which means that the only music it will play is the music files themselves. Other than that, though, this is a stable, dependable mod.
Before downloading Darkoader, I recommend that you perform a full backup of your computer. Not only is it easy to do but it can save your gaming progress from getting messed up if you accidentally install the program. As with any other program, it also has the potential to break the game if you’re not careful. Make sure that you backup your files beforehand and that you’ve read the included instructions carefully before attempting to install it.
Overall, I love this mod! It really makes playing MC easier and faster! The only draw back I can think of is that it doesn’t seem to improve performance much for me. But that’s probably because I’m using a relatively old computer, and all the settings and stuff were already set up and optimized for my system. If you have a newer computer and want to give the game a shot, I suggest downloading the mod and testing it out; I think you’ll like it!
