The Dark Age, or the Dark Age of Minecraft is upon us and it’s time for some radical changes to one of the most successful games on the planet. It’s time for a new streamlined and more streamlined game that don’t just have “the look” but has “the power”. This is what I want. Here are my top three suggestions for a new take on the old concept.
I’d love to see a Guido mod with a “lore” or story that ties into the game instead of just following the main storyline. I’ve played enough to know how repetitive certain quests can be, but the world seems so vast and detailed that there’s a good chance I’m not going to find all the items I need or even the places I need to complete quests at. Imagine if there was a story behind all the places and events in the game. Maybe, even a bit of background on some of the characters. lore-driven mods would be fun.
There should be more cut-scenes. Sure, you already have plenty of that in Minecraft, but can you get more? Because all of those cut-scenes only serve to annoy. They make me wish I could skip all of those boring scenes and just act naturally instead. For a game that takes so much time to play, why add in cut-scenes that aren’t needed?
Another thing, please make the graphics higher quality. Minecraft is a visually stunning experience, but it can get a bit boring and dull after a while. That’s why I prefer to stay away from the Vanilla Minecraft graphics until I can afford a better graphics card and graphic program. I don’t want to have to wait until the next upgrade either.
And finally, don’t make the game harder than it has to be. Make sure there are still ways to level up and obtain rare items. There should still be methods to fight bosses that are extremely hard to beat. There’s nothing wrong with the current difficulty, just that it may be a little too easy or even un-vable. Give players a way to really challenge themselves.
Dark Phoenix was definitely fun and worth a try. It doesn’t have the same charm as the old versions, but it was still a lot of fun. I would imagine it would appeal to a younger crowd as well since it’s a little different. I’m still not 100% sure how far the game will take me, but for now, it looks like a good game to give a shot at. If you’re looking for an enjoyable, challenging game, this probably isn’t it. It’s not very often you’ll see something like this nowadays.
