EpicProportions has introduced a new mod for MineCraft called Lucky Block. This mod has new items that are not found in the vanilla version of the game, and I think that is pretty cool. It adds a few different things to the game that wasn’t in there before like enchanted books and portals. The mod also includes a couple new levels which are basically redesigned with better graphics and sounds, and also some tweaks to how the game plays. I really like the updates and new content that EpicProportions has included.
The basic idea behind this mod is to break up certain chunks of land in the game so that you have more areas to build on. They basically travel back in time and basically place different blocks where they would need to be in the game. There are over four hundred blocks in all, so I was pleasantly surprised by how many blocks were actually added. It also added some ladders that you can use to get to the higher areas of the map, which is nice. You can also get portals to other blocks by putting them down, but that seems a little silly, doesn’t it?
There are only two challenges in this mod, and they are the Blue Mountain and the Twilight Forest. I honestly think that it is a cool idea, and something that a lot of people will enjoy having a lot of fun with. The only challenge in the mod is that you have to find all the pieces for the blocks you place, which seems like it isn’t very hard. You do need to use your mining skills to find the ones you need, but that’s about all I could think of at first. After playing the mod for a while though, I started to get a little frustrated with it.
The biggest thing that bugged me about this mod was that you could not see the blocks right-hand-down. You had to look underneath them to see what you were looking at. So you would mine and then find the block you wanted by looking under it. That takes a lot of time. Plus, I found that sometimes it was hard to find a block, and then I would have to go back to the start to try again. It made the game kind of tedious and boring.
That one problem is what actually makes the game enjoyable. If you are just sitting there mining away trying to find rare items, then you aren’t doing it for the fun of it. You’re finding the blocks so that you can build the things you want in the game. Once you get used to using the blocks in the game and creating things with them, you’ll start to feel a real sense of accomplishment. And the best part is, once you find a good mod like this one, it is a very easy mod to use and you will quickly find that you are having a lot of fun while playing the game.
The only thing that I would change about this game is the music. It is kind of annoying at times, but it is a necessity. The EpicLotto mods take out that aspect, but I still think that if you really like the music in the game, then you should check out the mod. I am not sure how much I would like to see this taken out, but it does help the game, and it is the kind of thing that I would like to see in the end-game screen, where you just need to click a block and have music play.
