Lucky Block Race is a mod which allows the player to choose any block type and also change its name, thus making it more likely that the player will find that block after they have spawned. For example, if I were to play as an archer, I could change from my shield block to my bow block, or my mace block to my battle axe block, or whatever I wanted. Lucky Block Race allows you to do this and more. Here are some of the reasons that I think this mod is great:
First, I don’t have to look all over the game for blocks. If I want to get one, I simply right click on the block that I want to place. This really cuts down on how much time I spend looking for stuff in the game.
Second, this mod supports many different types of races. I use the Human Race for my character, and it gives me several options. So, if I want to be a human pirate, I can do that. And, if I want to be a human mage, there are several other options there too.
Third, it makes building with wood a little easier. For example, I used to be able to only make wooden buildings with wooden walls and floors. Lucky Block Race changes this, and lets players build with any material they want. It makes the game a little more fun for me, as I don’t have to be so dedicated to a specific style of block just to do stuff in the game.
Fourth, this mod has a major overhaul over the vanilla mobs. For example, there are now ocelots, which are similar to cats, but much stronger. There are also super-bugs, which deal out massive damage. There are also wither spiders, which, when attacking, will actually turn one of your pets to a regular spider.
Lucky Block is very good overall. It’s a great mod, and it does what it says on the tin. It allows players to make their own custom blocks, giving them a greater degree of freedom than what they could do in the vanilla game. As a result, I’m having a lot more fun playing this mod now. I hope that you too get the chance to try it out, as it’s free to download and it would really pay off for a nice gaming session.
