The mod, Mickey Joe’s Relatively Improved Default, is a simple improvement for the default game of Minecraft. It mainly consists of minor tweaks that are intended to improve the game play experience. It also adds a few new recipes and animals and increases the number of achievements from one to two. I won’t go through all the specific changes in this review but you can check out the video for my thoughts on the matter. This is basically my opinion as a Minecraft player myself, and I am sure there are other players out there who are happy with it too.
The basic idea behind this mod is to make the game more fun by adding content that people aren’t happy with the default version of the game having. Some people are complaining about the lack of animal friends in vanilla Minecarts, so this was definitely an eye opener for me, and I am pretty sure it will be for other players too. I am sure many people will find some things useful, while others won’t, and that’s the beauty of having a free modding platform.
I think the biggest improvements to the game comes from the recipes, because there are actually quite a few recipes that weren’t added before. There are over 30 recipes for all the animals and objects, which I think is a great boost to the enjoyment of the game. Also, the number of animals and items in the game has been substantially increased. Previously there were just a handful, now you can find a cat, dog, pig, hedgehog, llama, unicorn, and penguin for your game. And don’t think that just animals are in this mod; you can find fish, reptiles, trees, rocks, and even potatoes for your farm.
I believe that this particular modifies the game more than many others because you can actually use a shovel on a sheep, pig, hedgehog, etc. Now don’t get me wrong, I love playing the vanilla game, but sometimes it is just boring to repeat the same quests over again. So, with this mod, I was able to skip my quest by using a shovel on a sheep instead of fighting him and doing all my work for nothing. I think this makes the game better overall.
My favorite part about this Mod is its interface, which is much easier on the eyes than the vanilla. I also really like the fact that you don’t have to do anything special in-game to start playing with this mod. The mod does not have any kind of inventory system, but that doesn’t matter since you’re not going to go out and buy stuff; it’s more like you stock up on items you collect along the way. I like the fact that it feels more natural, as if you are buying and eating real animals.
Overall, I think this is a great improvement over the vanilla MineCraft. It may not be exactly like the original, but it’s still a very good game, and I’m sure many people will appreciate what it does to the game. It may be a bit more expensive than some of the other mods out there, but for something that makes the game better in almost every aspect, I don’t think you should skimp. Plus, who really wants to spend even more money on something they could get away with for the last ten years? I would recommend it to anyone looking for a little improvement over the standard game that everyone’s used for so long.
