Mineshafts is a mod for the vanilla Minecraft game. It adds a few new items, some new recipes and makes the game more fun. I’ve been having a lot of fun with it so far. Here are some of my MineTweaker secrets and tips for using it in the right way.
Don’t clutter the screen with too many things This can be quite annoying to those who like to see everything. But just add an extra bookcase or two and you’ll find it easier to see your whole inventory. You should also put an armor stand next to your bed so you have a place to hide your armor when not in use. You might also add a shovel and a pickax so you can mine faster. Don’t forget to add a chest, a lamp or a stairway to your loft. That should keep you from running back and forth to your storage area to get things.
Put Furniture in the Furniture slots You can’t have enough furniture in your game. You can’t have enough tables, chairs or benches in your virtual world. Why not add some more to your inventory? You can’t have enough of them. But only put the ones you need and make sure they are in the proper slots.
Don’t put all the chests you have inside one single chest This makes it hard for you to get the things you need in case you lose your leatherworking table or blacksmith’s table. You shouldn’t have to open two or three chests to get what you need. Make sure you divide your chests into their appropriate slots so you won’t have to spend too much time moving them around. If you have a chest that holds enchanted chests, for example, put it in its own slot. The enchantments will be on the other slots.
Don’t try to make every item at once You don’t want to make 20 of something and then not be able to use it because you didn’t realize that you had crafted it. When you want to put something in an empty slot, just add it to your backpack first. This way you can easily know that you have space for that item when you want to pick it up. But don’t fill up your backpack with clutter. You should have at least one slot for each item that you pick up.
Don’t make your life difficult for yourself If you can’t find something because there is nothing there, that’s just bad design. Don’t do this in your mod. Add things to your inventory whenever you feel like having them and then drop them after you are done using them. This will save you unnecessary backtracking and will make your game much smoother.
