Universal: Interdimensional Escape is a mod for the base of minecraft which started as a mod for the vanilla MineCraft game. I had always loved the classic mod and loved the idea of having a mod that mixed both minecraft and adventure games together. I knew I could always play minecraft while at work, so why not make a version of it in a game that I’m not so familiar with? I loved the idea of escaping from reality in a world where I didn’t have to think of solutions to every problem, but instead I just got to enjoy the sights and sounds.
Universal: Interdimensional Escape is very much a work in progress, and there are many ideas for things I would love to see in the final product. For now though, I’m focusing on adding in my favorite features from the mod. One of the most important things I wanted to incorporate into the mod was the ability to build stairs. This is something that doesn’t come with the vanilla MineCraft game, so I knew I had to come up with my own ideas. Luckily, I was able to find a few videos on YouTube that helped me create the stairs.
I knew that my escape route should be straight, so I wanted to add more of those tunnels. So I made a straight tunnel going from my house to my garage. From there, I could either go down the hill to my garden and dig out the dirt ramps or climb up to the hilltop base and work my way through. There were several ideas that came to mind when I was trying to come up with a better plan.
To start off, I realized that I needed to add an elevator to go to my garage. The problem with this is that it wasn’t realistic since I was going to need a truck to haul my “disappear” truck over. I also thought about building another level to go to the escape hatch, but I wanted to make it more difficult. So I started researching and found that I couldn’t just put the hatch down anywhere. I needed to place it on a slope and make sure that it stayed in place.
Once I had those two basics in place, I was ready to build stairs. Since I knew that I would be using my minecraft mod, I knew exactly what I needed to make them. After learning how to build stairs using Universal: Interdimensional Escape – Hilltop Base, I was able to complete my first base and continue playing my mod.
The best part about Universal: Interdimensional Escape – Hilltop Base is that it’s a whole lot easier to learn how to make stairs than the other versions of the mod. Universal: Interdimensional Escape has a great video on their website that explains how to get started making your very own base and adds a lot of tips and tricks. Since I’ve already learned how to build stairs using the Universal mod, it was a perfect choice for my first mod. It really helped me out and I’m sure that it will help others as well.
