Zen Script Syntax Highlighter is a simple and effective tool for any Java or Notepad based player. I am not entirely sure why it’s called a “lite”, because it lacks some more advanced features. Zen Script Syntax Highlighter for Notepad by itself does not do anything other than highlighting the text in an invisible box. The color code option however is a nice feature, as it makes your highlighting all the colors that you want. Highlighting words or text in a color will make it much easier to see what you are writing.
If you don’t use a highlighter, you might be losing a lot of useful time. When I wrote this, it took me about 30 seconds just to write out the same note twice, just by typing the text without highlighting it. It’s quite annoying, because typing can get quite slow. With a highlighter, you simply click on the word or text you want to highlight, and then you can just press the mouse button and the result is highlighted text.
That’s not all though! One of the coolest features of Zen Script is that it comes with some neat little plugins that allow you to automatically indent your code. There are four different plugins, and they all do pretty much the same thing. But with them all working together, you can change the indentation according to the situation. For instance, you might want to indent your code after every paragraph, or maybe even change it when there is a return statement.
And another cool feature is that it comes with auto-complete. Now when you type something into the textbox, it will complete it for you. This will make it so much easier to write powerful sentences, because if there’s a bunch of stuff at the start of a paragraph, you won’t have to start editing that now. It will just complete it for you!
The last major feature I want to mention is the fact that it integrates with many of the other great Zen Script themes out there. So now you can easily change the color scheme, the header, and even the footer if you want. And it’s compatible with all of them, which means your theme will be a complete match for your screen. With all these neat features in one tool, I really feel that Zen Script Highlighter is a must-have for everyone who wants to add some Zen-like elements to their HTML. It’s truly a wonderful product.
Not only does it add syntax highlighting to your code, but it also gives you some basic visualizations of what your code is doing. And because it’s based on extremely user-friendly Zen Script so all you have to do is drag-and-drop everything you want, you can make this tool extremely easy to use. Not only that, but you can even add your own files to the program. I use it everyday to help me read my own code and make quick fixes whenever I get stuck. If you have a need for a great product that will simplify your life a bit, try Zen Script Highlighter, and I’m sure you’ll love it!
